About the Position:
As a Carrier Operations Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimising the company’s mobile network infrastructure. You will manage technical operations, vendor relationships, and the performance of MVNE (Mobile Virtual Network Enabler) systems to ensure service reliability and support the company's growth. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and strategic vision to align network performance with the company’s business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all technical and operational aspects of the company's MVNE and roaming agreements.
- Act as the primary technical contact for suppliers and partners, overseeing contract management and ensuring optimal performance.
- Ensure the company’s technical infrastructure is stable, secure, and scalable by developing and implementing an 18-month roadmap.
- Oversee the development of L2 support and establish an escalation process for technical issues affecting the network.
- Collaborate with internal teams to integrate new features and software updates into the MVNE ecosystem, ensuring seamless service delivery.
- Manage the deployment of critical updates, ensuring 24/7 operational readiness with robust disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Provide technical assistance and training to internal teams on telecom systems and operations.
- Oversee reporting, vendor performance, and implement strategies for improving network efficiency and flexibility.
Requirements:
- Experience: 5-10 years in telecommunications, with experience in MVNO/E/A environments or telco operations, particularly in managing technical infrastructure.
- Education: Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications Engineering, or a related technical field.
- Skills:
- In-depth understanding of core network components, signaling flows (SS7, Diameter, GTP-C/U), and MVNE architecture.
- Strong vendor management skills, with proven experience managing SLAs for critical systems.
- Experience in disaster recovery planning (DRP) and business continuity planning (BCP).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
- Strong leadership and team management capabilities, with a focus on continuous improvement.
- Languages: Fluent English
Work Model:
This is a full-time position with a hybrid work model with occasional travel as needed for meetings and site visits.
