Data Scientist (Survey Analytics)

Hamburg, Hamburg
Work Type: Full Time
Company Overview

The company was founded by an alumnus of BCG, is convinced of the approach to leverage traditional quantitative market research methods and top-tier strategy consulting for data-driven and customer-centric business decision-making. While quantitative market research offers invaluable insights, its potential remains largely untapped in corporate management, presenting in our view an expansive opportunity to create a highly specialized, relevant, and differentiated consulting offering.

Established in 2019, a first landmark achievement was the creation of a quantitative research unit. This robust research engine room, with its unmatched efficiency and professionalism, secured a market share of over 80% with a top tier consultancy in the EMESA region. Over the past years, the following capabilities have been built:

  • Research delivery: Consistent, industry-leading delivery (design, full-service execution, interpretation of results) of quantitative surveys across any level of complexity and research methods
  • Industry ecosystem: Access to a huge and growing number of proprietary panels in global geographies, industry (e.g., B2B) or topic niches (e.g., HealthCare); established and evolving technology stack (e.g., quantilope, Sawtooth); adjacent preferred partners, supplementing the full project delivery (e.g., translation agencies)
  • Consulting workstyle: Fully focused on developing a differentiated service model, focused on top tier consultancies (e.g., BCG), over the years a highly professional and industry-leading service quality has been established.

This unit constitutes is an important foundation for the above-mentioned boutique consulting offering, because this part of the value chain is partially or fully outsourced by companies such as BCG, Simon-Kucher etc.

Building on this strong foundation, the company assumes potential to grow in three primary directions, ordered by ease of execution and in consequence priority:

  • Consulting Outreach: Expand our services to cater to a broader spectrum of consulting firms.
  • Investment Sector Solutions: Tailor offerings specifically for the investment industry, including Private Equity firms and Venture Capitalists, catering to various stages of the deal cycle with their targets and portfolio companies.
  • Corporate Strategy: Drive consumer-centric strategy projects with corporates, differentiating to traditional strategy consulting by rich consumer insights.
