The successful candidate can be based ideally in Berlin. This position will work in a hybrid work model!
What Your Day Will Look Like:Perform financial period close tasks and journal entries/accounting analysis
Perform Balance Sheet analysis and reviews, including reconciliations of accounts (including review of the reconciliations done by the junior accountants)
Perform local fiscal declaration
Participate in the completion of audit engagements and compliance requirements
Perform variance analysis of actual results vs. financial plans (budgets and forecasts)
Preparing financial KPIs and reviewing for accuracy
Prepare ad-hoc performance analysis and management reporting
Assist in financial integration for new acquisitions
Participate in Finance projects
Supporting AR/AP/Month End
Intercompany bookings
Credit card reconciliations
Incoming payments on bank
Accounts Payable
Manages full AP process in alliance with subs
Follow ups with vendors and customers on non payments (German speaking)
Negotiates with vendors on contracts
Ensures we pay on time and that payment terms are aligned with contracts
About You:
Qualified Financial Accountant qualified certification with at least 3+ years post-qualification experience
At least a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or similar related discipline is desirable
Some knowledge and experience with Accounts Receivables as well
Strong computer skills, with proficiency within Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerBI) and Netsuite
A detail-oriented self-starter who thrives on the process and solving problems
A genuinely curious mindset, capable of quickly learning new systems, and the desire to grow and develop over time
A team player who loves a challenge and wants to eventually ‘own’ their area of the business
Someone who is driven by life-long learning and continuous professional development
Fluent in English and German, both written and verbal, is essential
