Since the end of 2021, our client has been building a brand for outpatient and inpatient care in Germany. Their roots are in Finland, where they have around 5,000 outpatient doctors and around 30,000 employees. Our client is the largest network for outpatient care in Northern Europe. Now they want to implement their recipe for success for modern patient care with the help of comprehensive digitalisation in Germany.


They currently have one location in Fulda and 10 locations in the Western Palatinate. Their headquarters are located in Frankfurt. Within their first year, they have grown to 360 employees, including 44 doctors. The core element of treatment in their practices remains the physical contact between doctors and patients.


About the role:


Our client is looking for a solution-orientated Business Controller with a strong growth mindset to join their team. In this role you will report to the German Finance Lead and oversee the financial processes of the German companies.


Job Description:


  • Financial reporting for the German business: Your responsibilities include monthly reporting, forecasting and preparation of financial figures for the coming year. You will also assess the financial performance of the German companies and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Operational reporting for the German business: You utilize data to define and track crucial KPI's for the business and provide insights for the management to steer the business to the right direction. Such KPIs relate to volumes across locations, personnel efficiency and pricing.
  • M&A & strategic analyses: You will participate in various types of development projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, market research, business case modeling, and the development of business plans. In merger and acquisition projects, you will be responsible for valuation modeling, preparing presentations for the board, and coordinating the due diligence process with internal and external stakeholders.

Your background :


  • You have completed a relevant university degree (e.g., MSc in Engineering / MSc in Economics and Business Administration) and are interested in the healthcare sector and have 2-4 years of relevant work experience.
  • You are proactive, capable of taking ownership of tasks, and advancing complex projects independently, even in situations where there are multiple stakeholders and limited direct supervision.
  • You possess excellent communication skills and can quickly grasp new concepts.
  • You are fluent in German and English.
  • You are proficient in Excel and have experience in financial modeling.
  • General interest in business intelligence: We actively use Power BI and in future SQL Server databases. So, a genuine interest in BI and analytics development is essential for success in this role.
