About our client
Since the end of 2021, our client has been building a brand for outpatient and inpatient care in Germany. Their roots are from Finland where they have around 5,000 outpatient doctors and around 30,000 employees, which is the largest network for outpatient care in Northern Europe.
Now they want to implement their recipe for success from modern patient care in Germany with the help of comprehensive digitalization.
They are currently represented with one location in Fulda and 10 locations in the Westpfalz region. Within our first year, they grew to 360 employees, 44 of whom are doctors. The core element of treatment in their practices remains the physical contact between doctors and patients.
About the role
They are seeking a solution-oriented Finance lead with a strong growth mindset to join their team. In this role, you will report to the German Country Manager and oversee financial processes of the German legal entities.
In your role, you will
Oversee daily financial operations including purchasing, accounts payables and accounts receivables
Support in financial due diligences and M&A integration processes
Cooperate with the Group Finance organization and other stakeholders in the Mehiläinen Group
Work on diverse business development initiatives to implement financial processes, tools and controls to improve quality, reduce manual work, and to enable the growth of the company
Be the main point of contact for auditors, tax advisors, banks, and other external contacts in Germany
Lead, support, and prioritize tasks for the German Finance Team
Be a standing member of the German Management Top Team
What they are looking for
Suitable master’s degree in business and economics with a focus on finance or accounting (optional)
At least 2+ years of work experience in a similar position in a large or mid-sized firm / experience in Big4 audit and consulting roles
Broad financial knowledge (German GAAP, reporting, planning, auditing, controlling, development of financial processes)
Wide understanding of processes related to financial administration and experience of taking on new financial processes and tools into use
Self-initiative and good planning skills
Accuracy in your work, while also understanding the importance of materiality
High motivation and willingness to deliver
Good IT and Excel skills
Excellent German and English skills both in verbal and written communication
Ability to stand firm when needed and being comfortable with working in a matrix organization
Willingness to travel within Germany, preferably from Frankfurt/Rhein-Main area
Experience in leading teams and a strong sense of empathy
They also appreciate experience in ERP implementation projects, IFRS knowledge and/or experience with BI tools.
