Role Pitch:

Their fast growing Germany team is looking for an experienced German Payroll and Implementation Specialist to join their team. The role will be responsible for the implementation of new payrolls onto their Local Payroll Engine and platform and operational processing of payrolls until ready to handover to Payroll processors.  

In this operational capacity you will ensure the accuracy of payroll and payroll-related information for internal & SSAE 16 audits, and in line with all established statutory requirements and internal processes.

 

Daily Duties and Main Responsibilities will include: 

  • Partner with German Implementation Team and Support Team of Local Payroll Engine to ensure existing payrolls are migrated and new payrolls are implemented onto the local payroll engine and the company’s platform
  • Assist in the validation of payroll requirements to ensure that sufficient information is provided by the client to enable successful set-up and configuration
  • Meet with customers remotely to discuss requirements and implementation questions during the implementation cycle
  • Ensure successful knowledge transfers are completed between Project Delivery and Payroll Operations
  • Establish, update and maintain payroll records and analyse payroll related information to ensure accurate payroll in line with legislation of Germany
  • Research discrepancies of payroll information and / or documentation to ensure accuracy and adherence to procedures prior to processing
  • Reconcile pre-processing reports to ensure accuracy of information prior to processing payroll
  • Complete controls and cross-checking on payroll results
  • Maintain payroll information, files and records to provide up to date reference and audit trail for compliance
  • Deliver payroll accurately and provide timely payment of employee salaries on time in line with client service level agreements and expectations.

 

Attributes and Experience Required: 

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience with end to end German payroll processing
  • Experience with Germany Implementations would be a benefit
  • Good knowledge of German payroll legislation and monthly operational processes
  • Strong user knowledge of Microsoft products (Excel and Word)
  • Strong organizational and multi-tasking skills to meet deadlines
  • Forward thinking, ability to plan and organize own workload
  • Self-advancement skills to develop own effectiveness
  • To be a team player with ability to share information and interact positively with others
